I didn’t set out to create an emotional learning brand. I set out to be a better mother — and to understand why so many of us struggle to talk about feelings with our children.
Before Mananas, I spent years working in design, branding, education, and family-centered communication. Across cultures, languages, and learning spaces, I kept noticing the same gap: children feel deeply, but adults often lack simple tools to help them name and express what they feel.
My Latin American background, my work with multilingual families, and my own journey as a bilingual mother all pointed to the same idea: emotional literacy should feel natural, creative, and accessible.
Mananas was born from that belief — a colorful way to help children and families feel, grow, and connect.
Bilingual children develop stronger problem-solving skills, deeper cognitive flexibility, and greater capacity for attention, not despite navigating two languages, but because of it. The brain that learns to switch, adapt, and hold two worlds at once is a brain being trained for resilience.
Mananas is my answer to that gap. Built for the kitchen table, the bedtime routine, the car ride when your child says something that stops you cold — and you want to be ready to meet them there. Not a perfect answer. But an honest one.
